GigaTrader Watchlist Widget

Watchlist is a widget that allows you to create custom watchlists and use available public watchlists.

This is how you can work with the Watchlist widget:

  1. To start working with watchlists, select one of the available public watchlists or a private watchlist previously saved. Click Create New to create a new watchlist.
  2. The watchlist is essentially a table containing information on a number of instruments. The table comprises the following main columns and 20 additional columns:
    • Symbol: Instrument's symbol.
    • Last: Last price, considering Extended Trading sessions if available.
    • Net Chng: Net change, calculated as the Last price compared to the previous day's closing price.
    • Bid: Bid price.
    • Ask: Ask price.
    • Spread: Spread width in price units (Ask - Bid).
    • Mark: Mark price depends on the instrument price and available data. Typically, it is Last (Stocks, ETF, Futures) or the midpoint between Bid and Ask (Options).
    • Volume: Volume traded this day for the symbol.
    • Description: Instrument description.
  3. Left-click on an instrument in the watchlist to display a mini-chart and current Buy/Sell prices. You can click the Buy/Sell button to issue an order. The Order Entry will be expanded.
  4. When the Watchlist widget is linked to another widget on the workspace and you left-click on a watchlist entry, the linked widgets will be filtered by the symbol you've clicked on.

This is how you can create your own watchlist that will be listed in Private Watchlists:

                        1. Select Create new from the drop-down list in the top left corner. The Rename List window will appear.
                        2. Type the new watchlist name and click Save.
                        3. Type a symbol in the Instrument search field in the top left corner. A table with matching symbols will appear as you type. The list of matching symbols is a table that is similar to the one that appears in the Chart widget.
                        4. Click on the desired symbol to add to your watchlist.
