How do I open an account?

Accounts are opened online by completing the application and required disclosures. 
 
What is needed to complete the application? 
 
-Government Issued valid ID (Drivers License or State ID/Passport) 
-Tax ID number (Social security or Tax ID Number) 
-Bank Account and Routing number 
-A few minutes to complete the online application and digitally sign the required disclosures.
 
Can the application be filled out, processed,approved and funded entirely online? 
 
Yes, the entire process is streamlined and automated, most accounts can be approved and opened and ready for funding within minutes of completing the application. 
 
How does GigaTrade verify client identity and banking information securely? 
 
Gigatrade uses Plaid, a trusted third-party verification provider, to securely verify your identity and bank account. When you connect your bank through Plaid, your login credentials are encrypted and never shared with Gigatrade. 
Plaid operates under bank-level security standards and is widely used by regulated financial institutions. Gigatrade only receives the minimum information required to confirm your identity and account ownership, helping us meet regulatory requirements while keeping your data protected. 
 
How long does approval take? 
 
Most accounts are typically approved in minutes, subject to review and regulatory requirements.  Some may require extra review and may require additional documentation which could delay the process for a few days 
 
What information is required in the application? 
 
Age, employment, financial background, trading objectives and experience are obtained to ensure account permissions are suitable for each individual trader.
