Trading Halts & Exchange Controls

Why was I unable to trade a product?

Due to exchange halts, price limits, or regulatory controls.  Trading halts and price limits are safeguards used by exchanges and regulators to help keep markets fair and orderly during periods of unusual activity or high volatility.

A trading halt temporarily pauses trading in a stock or contract, often due to news or rapid price movements. Price limits restrict how far prices can move within a given period, particularly in futures markets.

These controls are not set by Gigatrade and they may limit your ability to place or close trades while in effect. Trading typically resumes once market conditions stabilize.
